DG ECN Becomes Fellow of Two Reputable Institutions
The Director General/CEO of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Engr. (Prof.) Eli Jidere Bala has recently been conferred with the fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE). The conferment ceremony happened in December 2013, in which only three Nigerians received such award of the prestigious engineering body. The ceremony was attended by the entire management of the Commission as well as many staff especially those in the engineering profession.
And early in 2014, the DG, ECN further received an approval of the Council of another reputable body, the Academy of Engineering, for the fellowship of the Academy (FAEng).
These awards testify to the professional quality of leadership in ECN on one hand and in the Nigerian Energy Sector in the overall.
The Nigerian Society of Engineers is a body established by engineers in Nigeria to cater for the needs of its members through well structured programmes and interactions among members and to enhance high professional standard and ethical practices. On the other hand, the Academy of Engineering is a body established as a “Think Tank” to provide support for the vision and efforts of all local engineering institutions and organizations in harnessing technological resources.
